A quick look at Patriots' Day 2010 in Lexington, Massachusetts.
The weekend before we finished up a few odds and ends like polishing a little brass ... (HM)
Some got the lay of the land by taking a tour on the Liberty Ride (BL) low res

While others went off to fight -- or watch -- the Battle of Tower Park (HM)
But then came Monday, time for the Big Event
By the dawn's early light the flag rises over the spot where an independent America was born
Remembering the price of freedom
The tableau at the Visitor Center
First a few Minute Men gathered on the Battle Green to await developments
Until the entire company was present
But then some Redcoats showed up to spoil the party
Disperse, you damn rebels! (HM)
After the battle, the visitors from Antony, France joined their hosts for a picture

Between events, some hit the various pancake breakfasts (HM)

Now it was time for the Youth Parade (HM)

Right after the parade there were ceremonies on the Battle Green with the LHS Marching Band opening the program (ID/SB)

The Daughters of the American Revolution had two ceremonies to attend and a parade in which to march (FF)
First, a wreath-laying at the obelisk (FF)
And then a re-dedication of the Old Belfry plaque (FF)
While the Minute Men honored those buried at The Old Burying Ground near the Battle Green (ID/SB)
There was the traditional ceremony at the U.S.S. Lexington Memorial (ID/SB)
And there was the Lions Club road race (ID/SB)
And of course LexMedia was there to record everything (ID/SB)
